APP General Surgery - Battle Creek

Bronson General Surgery – Battle Creek has an exciting opportunity in southwest Michigan for a full-time goal oriented, energetic Advanced Practice Provider to join our team of four general surgeons and two APPs. 

As a surgical APP, your responsibilities are to support surgeons and provide care to patients before, during, and after surgical operations. Your job duties include performing physical exams, analyzing diagnostic tests, educating patients about treatment options, and inpatient rounding. Some minor surgical procedures include bedside incision & drainages, punch biopsies, debridement's. You need excellent communication skills and compassion for interacting with anxious or worried patients. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are vital skills. • Master's degree (MSN or MS in Nursing) and 2 years of recent clinical experience related to area of practice required
• Previous teaching experience preferred
• Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan.
• Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse in specialty area of practice. Must maintain all requirements for medical staff privileges. 
• Must be able to operate and perform basic computer programs associated with documentation and record keeping in the department
• Must possess effective interpersonal relationship and communication skills that are applied to multiple group interactions
