Senior Accountant

Reporting to the Manager of Technical Accounting, the Senior Accountant - G&A will be a key contributor to the accounting team. In this role your responsibilities will include month-end close for technical areas of accounting, financial reporting and assistance with conducting research and concluding on technical accounting matters that impact the business.  The ideal candidate is a self-starter, a great communicator, and enjoys collaborating with people with a diverse set of talents in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

What your day could consist of:

• Responsible for month-end close processes for various complex  accounting such as capitalized software development cost and stock-based compensation 
• Preparation of monthly financial statements and analyses
• Assist in drafting quarterly and annual U.S. GAAP consolidated financial statements, related disclosures, and supporting analyses/schedules for our global organization.
• Research accounting literature and prepare position papers for technical accounting areas
• Work with external auditors and subject matter experts on the timely resolution of technical accounting matters  
• Assist team with special projects as needed

What is needed:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, CPA or progress towards CPA required
• 3+ years of experience in accounting-related work (Big 4 public accounting preferred)
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience researching technical accounting topics, financial reporting experience a significant plus 
• Experience with international consolidations, balance sheet reconciliations, and translations, including foreign currency accounting issues, a significant plus
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with employees at all levels of the organization and manage relationships with external parties
• Intermediate to advanced level experience with Microsoft Excel
• General understanding of Sage Intacct or other comparable ERP systems is preferred
