Summary of Job Duties:

Under the direct supervision of the Manager of Pharmacy for Ambulatory Care, the Clinical Pharmacy Technician (Ambulatory Operational and Patient Assistance) will have primary responsibility for supervising and coordinating operational assistance within clinics in the Integrated Medicine Service Line (IMSL) and/or the Primary Care and Population Health Service Line (PCPHSL). This position is an upper-level technician position. The employee in this position must demonstrate special skills, knowledge, and task completion not required by the other pharmacy technicians. The programs to be coordinated and monitored include, but are not limited to, MAP (Medication Assistance Program), retail drug PAPs (free drug), prior authorizations, and Medicare assistance/enrollment. This position will support operations ensuring patients receive the lowest out-of-pocket expense possible utilizing assistance from various programs, PBMs, and manufacturers.
