Job Description

As a Security Professional - Armed Post - Government Location in Lake Charles, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a government location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that may arise. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry and be prepared to use a firearm as part of your duties. You will also interact with staff, visitors, and members of the community, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor for unusual activity and/or security-related hazards, reporting any findings according to established protocols.
• Interact with staff, visitors, and the public in a courteous and professional manner while carrying out assigned duties.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and promptly communicate any security-related issues to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client contacts.
• Support emergency response activities as needed, following all instructions and procedures specific to the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have a minimum of three years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
