Program Analyst (Mitigation)

GS-14: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector: Analyzing and evaluating disaster recovery or resilience programs; and Interpretation of laws, regulations or policies and providing guidance on how these impact organizational programs; and Developing or recommending policies, goals, operating procedures, or performance measures for disaster assistance programs; and Conducting research and analyzing trends to propose alternative strategies or solutions to improve program effectiveness specific to disaster recovery, resilience, or risk reduction; and Preparing analytical reports, briefings, or planning documents for senior leadership; These qualifications must be clearly referenced in your resume. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Generally, time in Non-Pay status as a federal employee is not creditable towards the specialized experience requirement listed above.
