The Work You Will Do:
Environmental Supervisor - District Five / Intermodal Systems Development / Environmental Management
This position will advance the agency’s transportation mission by leading Environmental Management staff to deliver Project Development and Environment (PD&E) work program commitments in compliance with federal and state regulations, including 23 CFR Parts 771 and 772, Chapter 335.17, Florida Statutes, and the Endangered Species Act. It oversees preparation and quality control of environmental documents and impact analyses; manages consultant acquisition, scope development, and quality assurance; coordinates across disciplines to maintain production and letting schedules; and ensures adherence to the Department’s PD&E Manual and ETDM procedures. Through technical expertise, fiscal oversight, interagency coordination, and proactive stakeholder engagement, the role mitigates risk, safeguards environmental resources, and supports timely, cost-effective delivery of transportation projects.
