Provides administrative and clerical support to the department to ensure effective and productive work flow. Participates in planning of programs, policies or objectives for own work group and department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responds to telephone calls by answering inquiries and/or directing to proper person; greets visitors
- Receives open records requests from outside sources, gathers required documentation and forwards to County Attorney for action
- Manages and maintains new vendor requests and W-9s which are assessable by both Purchasing and Auditor’s Office.
- Assists with verification of vendor insurance certificates.
- Assists with solicitation scanning and maintaining of database.
- Creates/prints/organizes Commissioners Court agenda items in binder.
- Ensures all Court documents are complete, saved in proper location for Commissioners Court and delivered to County Judge’s Office. Verifies all Form 1295s.
- Receives Purchasing mail from mail center daily and distributes accordingly.
- Backup to the Administrative Assistant.
- Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
- Assists all Purchasing employees with duties as needed.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- 3 years of job related experience.
- Strong Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) skills and typing skills (minimum 45 WPM).
- Strong organizational, verbal and communication skills. Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to interact and deal effectively with other employees, the public and public officials.
STARTING SALARY RANGE: $16.02 - $20.03 hourly based on qualifications
