About the Role:

Our goal is to attract and develop talented professionals into our business.  A guaranteed full-time, mutually agreed position will be available within JBS Australia on successful completion of the program.

 

The livestock cadetship will ensure will expose you to all parts of the JBS Livestock business through specific rotations as well as allow you work in our sales division learning JBS marketing of our product. To ensure you succeed in the role you will also learn all aspects of our Livestock divisions such as Inspect, Draft & purchase cattle for our Abattoirs & Feedlots. Purchase saleyard cattle for our abattoirs. Slaughter programming and Documentation auditing at our abattoirs. Developing Client relationships.

 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Cattle assessment, paddock and saleyards.
  • Vendor relationships
  • Kill programming
  • Production overview
  • Feedlot animal health and treatment
  • Shipping and documentation and sales.

 

 

About you:

  • Experience in livestock or agribusiness is beneficial but not essential
  • Completed Year 12
  • Must hold current drivers license.
  • Self-motivated and ability to learn and adapt quickly
  • Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills
  • Basic computer skills Microsoft outlook, word excel
  • Proven ability to take ownership and show initiative.

 

 

Some overnight travel to the five Feedlot facilities and five Plant facilities will be required from time to time. Importantly, the candidate may be required to temporarily relocate for a rotation depending on business needs.
