Transversal Portfolio Business Architect, Airlines

About the business

This role is part of Airline Solutions business unit. Airline Solutions is engaged in a full retailing transformation of its Airline Solutions Portfolio through the Nevio strategic project.

Our aim is to become the airline’s trusted business partner, supporting their business strategy by understanding their business needs and delivering high value, end-to-end solutions tailored to those needs.

Modern retailing will gradually replace existing Airline Passenger Service Systems (PSS). The Airline Solutions business line is defining and positioning its next generation portfolio (“Nevio”), addressing this transformation by engaging major airline customers.

Your main responsibilities

The architecture of Nevio is key considering that we want to design an innovative and consistent solution based on state of the art retailing concepts, leveraging the full power of Platform & Cloud technology within a secure trusted environment.

As Nevio Transversal Portfolio Business Architect, your core mission is to:

• Rationalize & normalize the future business architecture across the entire portfolio of products.
• Federate and facilitate all initiatives to define the reference NGA business architecture​.
• Define, review and validate the new Nevio Business Capabilities.
• Ensure Business Capabilities consistency  cross Nevio functional domains (aka Business Domains), cross Functions (Product Management, Product marketing and Commercial ) and cross the different layers of the solutions
• Communicate on Nevio vision and strategy around the Business architecture (Blueprint, key Business Architectures principles and support to Pre Sales teams)

Manage Nevio Portfolio Business Architecture

• Deliver and maintain the Nevio business architecture blueprint:
• Support the portfolio vision in terms of modularity, openness, and simplification
• Align with and provide inputs for Commercial portfolio positioning and packaging guidelines:
• Lead the definition process of the products portfolio in scope:
  • Defining expected logical interaction between modules.
  • Creating a high-level framework of requirements and solution canvas from which functional and technical engineering teams can build a solution  
• Participate  to the various forums  to present the above deliverables via studies, presentations… and more largely communicate on Nevio Business Architecture scope
• Formalize and validate business capabilities in order to enter execution within Portfolio Epic

Ensure end-to-end architecture consistency

• Organize/participate to business and functional/technical architecture studies with Nevio functional solution team and/or Technical Architect community if needed.
• Ensure Business architecture principles application.
• Identify modules with common business capabilities and dependencies, avoid overlaps, while closely monitor and support new initiatives that could impact the Nevio business architecture
• Be facilitator for transversal epics promoted by a business domain requiring business architecture alignment with other business domains

Engage multi-dimension collaboration

• With the Amadeus Engineering community to ensure `
  • deliverables in scope are compatible with Technical Strategy
  • consistency from business to functional and technical architecture
• With Commercial and Solutions streams in order to
  • Define business architecture inputs for Business Domains teams:
  • Deliver Architecture inputs   for pre-sales engagements:
  • Define business architecture inputs required for commercial model definitions.

About our ideal candidate

• At least 5 years’ experience overseeing a full product from inception to sunset.
• Background & understanding on Platform and Cloud technologies and concepts
• Enterprise Architecture experience / understanding is a big plus
• Strong analytical and communication skills to handle and simplify complex transversal subjects
• Experience in airline or travel business would be a plus
• Experience of Agile/Scrum methods, especially SAFe (or similar) would be a plus
• Fluent in English
