About the role

Support the MIIS Marketing and Communications team with multilingual content development.

Core Responsibilities: Localize multimedia content between English and Chinese 

  • Work with Chinese social media team to localize written and video content from Chinese into English and vice versa 
  • Ensure quality translation and alignment between campus tour videos in Chinese and English 
  • Map recommended process for taking transcripts of webinars and developing them into articles in multiple languages 
  • Update our video templates to ensure quality subtitling in multiple languages 
  • Oversee the production of virtual campus tours in Campus 3D in multiple languages, including vetting and organizing multimedia assets and subtitling or dubbing, as needed 
  • Develop and execute a launch plan for our new TikTok channel, including a strategy for sharing out content in multiple languages 
  • Provide recommendations on the production and dissemination of multilingual content via our website and social media platforms 
  • Design and document a localization workflow for converting webinar transcripts into multilingual articles, including steps for transcription, translation, review, and multilingual publishing. 
  • Utilize Descript to transcribe, edit, and subtitle multimedia content, streamlining localization of video and audio assets for multilingual audiences. 
  • Set up and maintain Trello boards to manage task assignments, project timelines, translation status, and review cycles across languages, ensuring efficient collaboration and project tracking. 

Requirements

  • ​​Must hold MA in Translation and Localization Management 
  • ​Collaborative team member 
  • ​Strong written communications skills 
  • ​Project management experience 
  • ​Experience overseeing translation workflows 
  • ​Video editing skills, including subtitling 

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

  • ​Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., and push or pull up to 100 lbs.
  • Must be able to lift 10-20 lbs. frequently.
  • Must be able to walk and climb stairs frequently.
  • Must be able to carry supplies and equipment up and down stairs.
  • Must be able to bend, squat and kneel frequently.
  • Must be able to perform frequent over-head reaching movements.​​
