Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Instructional Design to lead our organization's product learning and development initiatives. This role is critical in driving product adoption, customer success, and employee enablement. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and hands-on leader with a passion for creating innovative learning experiences. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Learning Strategy: Lead the design and development of learning content for consumption by employees and customers. Guide the organization's transition to digital learning, overseeing the migration of content to e-learning and self-service models. 

  • Program Development: Design, implement, and manage scalable learning programs, including our certification program, that address the needs of key personas, ensuring content aligns with customer goals and business objectives.  

  • Content Development: Increase the rate of resource creation and content quality with rapid development strategies. Lead the development and delivery of high-quality training content, including product tutorials, user guides, vILT, labs and eLearning. 

  • Global Enablement: Partner to create and implement global enablement strategies to support a diverse employee and customer base, ensuring alignment with regional needs. 

  • Process Development: Create processes to ensure content is regularly updated to reflect product enhancements, new features, and best practices. Collaborate to develop consistent processes to engage with the business, intake needs, and effectively partner across the organization. 

  • Project Management: Utilize strong project management skills to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Evaluation and Measurement: Utilize data-driven insights to continuously iterate and improve enablement programs to maximize impact and engagement.  

  • Learning Technology: Partner to manage and optimize the organization's learning management system (LMS) and other learning technologies. 

  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of instructional designers to deploy comprehensive learning experiences to meet the needs of employees, customers, and partner organizations. 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, sales, and GTM teams to ensure alignment and effective learning solutions. 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: 

  • 8+ years of experience in Instructional Design, including program design, delivery, and evaluation. 

  • Strong knowledge of adult learning theory and learning design principles. 

  • Experience with a variety of learning modalities, including e-learning, virtual classrooms, and in-person training. 

  • Knowledge of cutting-edge content development software and instructional design trends. 

  • Experience managing an LMS. 

  • Experience creating and managing certification programs.  

  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. 

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. 

  • Excellent project management and organizational skills. 

  • Data-driven mindset and ability to measure the impact of training programs. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Learning Technology, Education, Organizational Development or related field. 

Preferred Requirements: 

  • Creative thinker with the ability to entertain while educating. 

  • Experience developing technical content for both technical and non-technical audiences.  

  • LMS implementation experience.  

  • Advanced degree in Instructional Design, Learning Technology, Organizational Development, or related field preferred.
