What we need:
Mohawk is looking for a Human Resources Generalist who will be responsible for HR services and support for a function or region. Mohawk’s HR Generalist will serve as a strategic business partner, providing support to functional leadership and employees at all levels to ensure they are equipped for success.
What you’ll do:
- Assist employees and management in solving both day-to-day and larger-scale, work-related issues by gathering information, assessing potential risk, recommending appropriate solutions and/or advising management accordingly
- Provide employee relations support such as conflict resolution, assisting and advising management on disciplinary action and performance improvement counseling
- Provide employee engagement support by facilitating clear communication, change management, training and development resources, and coordinating activities and events
- Assist management throughout the recruiting and hiring processes, ensuring all required documents, files and reports are prepared and processed in a timely manner
- Review and process approved personnel actions including, payroll, compensation changes, leaves of absence, etc.
- Collect, review and prepare information for statistical and regulatory reporting, surveys, employee communications, process improvement, payroll processing, etc.
What you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field and four years of job specific experience.
- Or eight years of HR experience
- HR Certification (a plus)
- Broad knowledge of the laws, regulations, policies, procedures and practical application governing the functions of Human Resources
- Strong math and analytical skills and the ability to interpret and adapt known methods, system procedures or operating concepts to new situations
