About this opportunity
As the Senior Power BI Developer, you will work closely together with developers, group architecture, product owners and business SME’s to understand and analyse the business needs, from which you will design and implement the end-2-end solutions for our data & analytics platforms. You will be produce leading edge technology, that will make an high business impact. You’ll join Data warehouse & Analytics, where we are delivering the future Data & Analytics solutions within Nordea Treasury.
What you’ll be doing:
- Drive our journey from on-prem hotel to cloud.
- Developer on our Microsoft Analysis Services implementation (hands on development + technical coaching of other developers)
- Maintain and define best practices, design patterns etc. and ensure quality and stability of our overall solutions
- End2end data & analytics solution design and development/implementation
- Actively demonstrating focus on business requirements and understanding of the complete Data & analytics delivery value chain
- Recommendations about platform/tool selections, information architecture, including implementation of data governance principles
- Analysing requirements and define overall implementation specifications together with architects and developers
- Proactively engaging stakeholders through clear communication, managing their understanding, expectations and involvement
- Validating the solutions both from a requirement fulfilment perspective as well as from a technical perspective (fit for purpose)
The role is based in Gdańsk; Helsinki; Warszawa.

Your experience and background:
- Microsoft PowerBI (on-prem hotel / cloud).
- 3+ years’ experience in DW, BI & analytics as an architect and/or developer
- Microsoft SQL server / Analysis services / Power BI
- Software Engineering skills in DevOps toolchains
- Academic degree
- Prior exposure to the financial markets is an advantage
- Have experience with big data challenges like capturing, modifying, searching, sharing, storing, etc.
- Be a strong communicator with business and be a bridge builder between business and IT.
Experience in following technologies will be an advantage, but not mandatory:
- Microsoft SSIS
- Snowflake
- Kafka
- Python
Finally, you take responsibility and feel a strong ownership of your design and your solutions. You are an outgoing and service minded team player and possess good communication skills and a good command of written and oral English.
