The CareGivers, a program of Catholic Charities New Hampshire, is looking for a part-time Warehouse Associate to join our team of dedicated professionals. This position will work 16 hours per week.

The CareGivers helps homebound elderly and disabled people in the Greater Manchester and Nashua areas maintain their independence and dignity through the spirit of volunteerism. We provide rides to medical and other essential appointments for those who cannot access reliable transportation, deliver food to those unable to shop on their own, or simply provide emotional support for individuals who otherwise would live amid isolation or loneliness.

Our clients often live alone on fixed incomes and without other means of services. Because of CareGivers, their wishes to remain living at home are preserved, their health and wellness improve and they positively engage in the world around them.

Job Responsibilities

· Support and guide packing and delivery volunteers; respond to questions professionally

· Spot-check packed grocery orders for accuracy

· Keep the warehouse, storage, and packing areas clean and organized per food safety regulations

· Receive, count, and stock grocery deliveries; update inventory and shelve overstock promptly

· Use “first in, first out” method for all inventory

· Manage donations from the Hannaford Fresh Rescue Program; assist with pickups if needed

· Oversee packing of dry groceries and ensure bag weights meet guidelines

· Oversee packing of perishable items into insulated bags

· Ensure perishables are dated on arrival and check for compliance

· Return undelivered perishables to cold storage after delivery

· Dispose of unusable products and update inventory records

· Help distribute packed bags to volunteers on delivery night

Requirements

· High School Diploma or G.E.D., preferred. Will accept direct placement from job corps such as the National Able Network

· 1 year of warehouse experience (basic material handling and inventory practices) with the ability to operate pallet jacks, required

· Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record required
