Who we are
HII is seeking a Salesforce Architect/Developer to support their C5ISR mission partners by providing guidance regarding available functionality on the Salesforce platform and Salesforce Ecosystem/AppExchange. This position has the potential for remote employment, ideally in the Mountain View, CA or Washington DC area. The ideal candidate will address business needs for 400+ end users utilizing different workflows, financial metrics, operational metrics, and reporting responsibilities to US DoD peers, Congress, and the Executive Branch based on data stored and managed in the Salesforce instance. This position will work with the federal government and DoD organizations leadership and team members to establish suitable processes to support administrative, development, and change/innovation management activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement scalable robust solutions on the Salesforce platform to meet business requirements
- Communicate solution options to business owners/stakeholders (e.g., architecture reviews)
- Coordinate and implement the evaluation, scope, and completion of new development requests
- Drive solution creation activities by collaborating across cross-functional teams
- Assist in training of new users, and grow the Salesforce.com skill set across the organization
- Drive evaluation and selection of customizations or AppExchange applications to best address business requirements
- Design, build, integrate, and customize complex Enterprise Solutions using the Salesforce Platform and Salesforce Ecosystem/AppExchange, etc.
- Drive the creation of technical solution documents and design documents leveraging Salesforce's best practices.
- Incorporate software and system architecture into conceptual designs while ensuring alignment with enterprise technology standards (e.g., solution patterns, application frameworks, technology roadmaps)
- Develop and maintain solution diagrams, reference architecture, and technical documentation for implemented solutions
- Serve as primary system administrator for the Lightning Salesforce.com environment
- Handle all basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, and other routine tasks
- Maintain custom objects, custom buttons/actions, formulas, validation rules, flows, workflows, process builders, approvals, and assignment rules
- Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades
- Manage Salesforce.com data feeds and other integrations
- Collaborate and co-develop with our application development team to ensure high quality deliverables
- Support meetings with and provide assessments of external vendors under consideration for integration with organization’s Salesforce platform. Upon direction, develop and test integration of third-party capabilities
- Advise and mentor diverse internal and vendor teams
- Collaborate with developers in setting standards and driving quality coding practices
- Follow, contribute to, and educate team members about best technical and coding practices and align or contribute to organization best practices
- Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies/products/trends related to architectural solutions
What you need to have:
- 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
