Team / division overview

Finance Control Oversight (FCO) is responsible for delivering a robust control foundation for DWS CFO through ensuring the integrity of financial and regulatory reporting. FCO aims to provide thought leadership and independent challenge across the DWS control environment. FCO partners with stakeholders across DWS CFO and the wider organisation to implement relevant control frameworks that underpin the organisation’s core reporting processes.

Your responsibilities –

As our [Finance Senior Analyst - Associate], you will:

• Assist in the monitoring and testing of the Balance Sheet Substantiation process including producing key metrics and reports and challenging the BSS results and explanations.  Support the implementation of a new process for Proteus to ensure efficiency, greater accountability and reduced unsubstantiated balances.
• Support CFO in the findings management cycle including advising on and documenting Self Identified Issues and testing and reviewing findings closure proposals.
• Support CFO in the error and breach monitoring by helping review accounting errors, including financial impact, and raising it in the relevant error capture tools.
• Manage the attestation process and ensure timely CFO financial reporting sign-offs on the effectivity of the control environment.
• Prepare the agenda and document the global and regional Risk and Control Fora.
• Provide support to CFO teams through approvals of access to SAP and the reporting environment and reconciliation to insider lists.

We are looking for 

• University degree or similar qualification
• Controls experience in Finance, Audit or other controls-focussed area.  An accounting qualification is useful but not essential depending on experience.
• Strong relationship building skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication and influencing skills for all levels of the organisation
• Able to operate effectively within a global organisation working with teams across multiple entities and timezones.
• Enthusiastic and able to deliver consistent and accurate information under pressurised time constraints
