The AGCO Acceleration Center is looking for a highly talented Data Analytics Intern to join our team onsite at the Research Park at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign for Summer 2024. Successful candidates will have a basic knowledge machine learning methods, data visualization, and statistical analysis. 

 

Your Impact

• Formulate insights and explain to the stakeholders 
• Recommend action to improve existing processes 
• Identify and process relevant data sources 
• Conduct exploratory analyses of various data sources 
• Apply statistical analysis to detect anomalies and deviations 
• Develop new machine learning models to improve existing models 
• Implement and integrate models within the business application into an AWS-based data science platform 
• Develop a framework for the continuous monitoring, improvement and realignment of forecast models 
• Process and visualize results to present to various interest groups  

 

Your Experience and Qualifications

Required

• Currently pursuing a graduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Information Management, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field. 

Preferred

• Knowledge in Python, Scala 
• Basic knowledge in statistical analysis and modelling 
• Basic knowledge of machine learning methods 
• Experience with Apache Spark and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure) 
• Confident use of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) 
• Commitment and the ability to work in a team 
• Analytical skills and a solution-oriented way of working 
• German proficiency - spoken and written 

 

 

Your Workplace

This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2024 onsite at the AGCO Acceleration Center in the University of Illinois’ Research Park. Students are expected to work up to 40 hours a week. 

Based on performance, this internship can continue across several semesters (i.e. full time in the summer, part time during the academic school year)
