The Capital Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the ISC Segment’s capital management strategy, ensuring optimal allocation of capital resources, maintaining regulatory compliance, and providing analytical insights to support strategic decision-making. This role involves close collaboration with MPT Segment Senior Management, Finance, and Business leaders to drive capital planning, and capital optimization initiatives.
What you'll be doing
- Coordinate, consolidate, create, and analyze capital processes including, Annual Operating Plan, Strategic Plan, Quarterly Forecasts and Monthly Reporting
- Lead Capital budgeting tracking & strategic planning LRP, Monthly reporting and variance analysis, rolling monthly forecasting, Capital investment plans and payback analysis
- Lead creation of models to improve the accuracy of forecasting and budgeting capital.
- Build and maintain the MPT ISC Segment’s capital management framework, including setting target capital distribution strategies
- Analyze and provide insights into financial performance and risk drivers to MPT ISC Segment, and Global Leaders
- Prepare and present detailed financial and capital reports, including dashboards and scenario analyses, to support executive decision-making
- Lead and support the annual capital planning process, including financial submission and internal reviews
- Ensure compliance with all relevant capital requirements and oversee the implementation of controls and governance process
- Understand relevant business risks, lead appropriate risk assessments, and recommend and drive implementation of mitigation plans
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize capital allocation across MPT ISC and Corporate Functions (IT, Digitalization, ESG, EHS, Strategy, Value of Improvement, Molding, Risk Management) and support cash flow management
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing business solutions that enhance efficiency, data quality and stakeholder requirements
- Manage and mentor analyst and team members, fostering a culture of high performance and professional development
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics Engineering.
- 9+ years of experience in finance, with a consistent record of demonstrating key finance competencies and qualifications.
- Must be proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience in capital accounting, with a strong understanding of capital budgeting, asset management, and financial reporting.
- Ability to be flexible with schedule and participate in occasional early morning or late evening calls to support global business needs.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills with knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to clearly convey ideas and address business issues
- Leadership ability to set clear expectations, motivate teams, and provide actionable feedback.
- The key finance competencies include technical skills in Microsoft suite and Baxter systems, business performance management, financial analysis, and strong understanding of accounting principles and company policies.
