Who will you be working with?

As the radiator shop, you will work closely with production team members to lead and support the tasks on the floor, while coordinating with the plant and operations manager on labor planning and production goals. This position also partners with quality, maintenance, safety, materials and continuous improvement team to align goals and ensure smooth goal completion.

How will you make a difference?

The radiator shop supervisor oversees the daily operations of the remanufacturing area, ensuring safety, quality, and delivery objectives are met. This leadership role supports production by directing front-line employees, managing schedules, enforcing work standards, and working towards continuous improvement. This supervisor is responsible for meeting technical compliance with engineering requirements while promoting accountability and excellence in the radiator shop.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Preferred: +5 years of proven experience in radiator or heat exchanger manufacturing, assembly or remanufacturing within heavy industry or rail sectors.
  • Preferred: Mechanical or engineering associate degree, certificates and related education. Experience is equivalent to education requirements.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hans-on experience with radiator repair techniques including brazing, soldering, core replacement, pressure testing and leak repair.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, mechanical and assembly schematics, BOMS and specifications.
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools torque, wrenches pneumatic tools, pressure testing equipment, hydraulic presses and flushing stations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office tools and ability to learn production software.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Supervise radiator remanufacturing including disassembling, cleaning, reassembly and testing.
  • Apply mechanical knowledge to oversee repairs during the radiators repairment.
  • Ensure correct use and maintenance of shop tools and equipment such as pneumatic tools, toque wrenches, pressure testers, hydraulic presses and flushing systems.
  • Oversee the correct use and operate of overhead cranes, hoists, and forklift for safe handling of heavy radiator components and assemblies.
  • Troubleshoot production issues related to flow, cooling performance, and mechanical alignment.
  • Review and understand engineering mechanical drawings, part/component drawings, assembly drawings, dimensions and tolerances.
