Senior Analyst/Programmer

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Analyst/Programmer to join our MPS team in developing and supporting media production workstreams and various media systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, automating tasks (e.g., Python, JavaScript, PowerShell), and experience with no-code/low-code platforms like Microsoft Power Apps for building applications with minimal coding. This position will support AI/Automation across production and creative services. In addition, knowledge of security, compliance, and identity (SCI) across cloud-based and related Microsoft services and understanding of network infrastructure and protocols is preferred.
Designs, develops, implements, and maintains custom system software and/or the installation and maintenance of purchased systems software as well as the configuration and support of hardware systems. Performs consulting tasks, acts as an information resource, and as a mentor in a supportive role. In collaboration with department leadership and Information Technology, participates in proposal development that consider alternatives and business case, and gains needed institutional approvals. Evaluates alternative approaches and presents recommendations to stakeholders, proponents, colleagues and department leadership. Regularly reviews software programs or applications and makes modifications and/or updates to ensure currency and functionality within established environment. Maintains and supports multiple systems or complex software programs and applications and their associated hardware. Produces and maintains documentation such as system requirements, designs, resource inventories, and plans. Provides technical and project leadership to other staff members, demonstrates initiative, and works as a team member as well as independently as needed to accomplish responsibilities. Works effectively across departmental organizations gaining consensus of stakeholders. May interface with vendor support service groups or other external support teams to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance. Acts as a liaison to Mayo departments and vendors to adequately support the department’s computing systems. Interfaces routinely with colleagues to perform job responsibilities requiring collaboration and partnership. May be required to provide 24/7 on-call support.
This position is a combination of remote and onsite support work. Individual must live within driving distance to the Mayo Clinic Rochester campus.
This position will support our Media Support Services department.

Bachelor's degree and 3 years' experience, including 1 year demonstrated technical experience; Or, Associate's degree and 7 years' experience, including 1 year demonstrated technical experience.
Applies effective system design principles and software development methodologies. Demonstrated ability to multi-task among multiple complex assigned tasks/projects. Evidence of communication, meeting management, and organizational skills and ability to adjust the message as appropriate to the audiences of varying technical capabilities. Evidence of project management skills. Possesses an objective and positive attitude with all tasks and projects. Demonstrated ability to meet project deliverables and timelines and repeatable and reliable performance. Evidence of ability to take initiative and proactive on starting tasks and assignments and ability to work independently. Experience working in healthcare technology. Exposure to managing both custom developed and vendor-supplied applications. Masters’ degree in applicable field preferred.
Preferred certifications: Power BI (application, Design reporting, data analytics, report filters, workspaces), Powershell, Crestron Certified Programmer, Crestron Intelligent video, Crestron XiO Cloud, Crestron AV over IP (DM NVX), Crestron Toolbox, Crestron Flex, Crestron Commercial Lighting, AVIXA – CTS, Biamp Tesiraforte.
Preferred knowledge in: Microsoft Teams rooms Pro Management, Teams Admin Center.
