About the role
Overview
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
- Non-Certified Substitute Teaching
- High school diploma or GED equivalent and
- completion of the SubSkills training course OR Effective Teacher Training (ETT).
- You may complete the online SubSkills training course with a score of 80% or higher (https://www.stedi.org/wake-county/) OR;
- You may take the ETT course at a NC community college.
- Upon completion of the SubSkills course or ETT, please upload your certificate of completion to your online application.
- Please Note: WCPSS will accept certificates from the courses listed above and the previously accepted App-Garden certificates of completion from other N.C. school systems.
- Certified Substitute Teaching
- WCPSS will accept a state issued teaching license (any state, current or expired) in lieu of completing the SubSkills or ETT course.
- Current Student Teachers
- In lieu of the SubSkills/ETT course, you may upload ONE of the following to satisfy the minimum requirement.
- A letter from the university stating when student teaching was completed and a reference from the cooperating teacher OR;
- Provide an official/unofficial transcript showing completion of student teaching.
