We are dedicated to making the difference to all our clients engaged in the delivery of major capital projects and programmes in Ireland and globally.</p><h3>Job Description</h3><p>Due to increased workload and securing of new clients, Turner & Townsend has a new opportunity for a Senior Consultant to fulfil a Senior Commercial Connections Contract Lead in Ireland. </p><p>Our client’s strategy is shaped by climate change and the transition of the electricity sector to low-carbon, renewable energy. Their strategy sums up a response to these challenges and consists of a set of key goals, underpinned by their purpose to Transform the power system for future generations. Our client’s Infrastructure office leads the development and delivery of the power system and interconnection investment programmes in collaboration with partners, customers & communities. We now seek an innovative Senior Commercial Contracts Lead to join us and play a key role in the transition to a low carbon energy future. </p><p><strong>The successful candidate will have the opportunity to: </strong></p><ul><li><p>Develop your skill set and knowledge by working with an outstanding team of specialist consultants; </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Engage and influence clients on leading strategic change within their customer connections function; </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Drive real change by supporting clients in realising their ambition to transition to a low carbon energy future; and </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Challenge themselves in a market-leading global business. </p></li></ul><p><strong>The Opportunity </strong></p><p>The duties of the role involves:- </p><ul><li><p>providing commercial and contractual management of a significant portfolio of complex, high profile customer projects – working with some of the largest companies in the world, </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>ongoing review and development of procedures and documentation for quality and accuracy, </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>lead the design and development of new connection contractual documentation as required. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>assist with the development and implementation of wider connection policy. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>managing and leading strategic change related projects - for example innovations to more effectively meet the needs of connecting customers, our key stakeholders and company strategy, </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>supporting the development of high performance capabilities and behaviours within the team along with a proactive customer and stakeholder engagement approach </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>pre-empt and lead the management of legal challenges relating to contractual matters. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>leading engagement and coordinating with customers including meetings, reporting, relationship management, and general communication. Supporting team members as required, and </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>managing a team of contract managers and supporting them in their roles, including allocating/reviewing work and providing training and mentoring. </p></li></ul><p> </p><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li><p>Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience with a holistic understanding of the power industry and proven experience of providing contractual/commercial management of a portfolio of largescale projects – overseeing the delivery of complex solutions and an ability to drive successful outcomes.
