P2 – Pilot-Scale Operations Lab Manager
Job Summary: We are currently seeking a highly motivated candidate to join our team as a Pilot-Scale Operations Lab Manager. This role involves managing, organizing, and providing support to the laboratory areas within our pilot-scale lab operations team. The position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and development in a professional lab setting, contributing to the development and commercialization of our Company's life-saving therapeutics. The primary focus of this position will be maintaining the infrastructure, equipment, and inventory within the laboratories that support the development of our Company's biologics pipeline.
Specific Technical Responsibilities:
Coordinating Bioprocess Research and Development (BPR&D) Raw materials and consumables (RM/CM) deliveries between our facility and the site-based warehouse.
Drive internal initiatives to develop and deploy an improved electronic inventory system.
Maintain accurate inventory records for consumables, chemicals, and reagent stocks, and lead quarterly chemical inventory true-ups.
Forecast, order, and track key raw materials (RMs) and consumables, collaborating with supplier partners to optimize lead times.
Oversee shipping activities for equipment and samples, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
Calibrate, conduct quality control, and maintain lab equipment, including cell culture analytical instruments, ensuring they are in proper working order.
Maintain detailed and accurate record-keeping, including logbook entries for equipment maintenance.
Perform basic troubleshooting of lab equipment and manage equipment moves and disposal as needed.
Collaborate with external vendors to schedule preventative maintenance and repairs.
Author internal documents for the use and maintenance of equipment.
Ensure compliance with appropriate safety standards and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) guidelines.

Educational Qualifications and Work Experience:
Associate's degree in a engineering or scientific discipline with a minimum of 5 years of experience or a Bachelor's degree in a scientific or engineering discipline with at least 2 years of experience in a relevant field.
Experience in a laboratory setting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
