Job Summary:
The Sr Lead Cloud Engineer position works independently identifying areas for improvement for current processes, procedures, and technical challenges to drive innovation, scaling, and stability. Responsible for collaborating with all teams to optimize and reduce delivery times of our product offerings. Drives innovation through scripting and code to develop automated deployment of services along with proactive solutions. This individual may serve as an escalation point for issues requiring engineering assistance and will consistently demonstrate proficiency in resolving complex Service Delivery problems.
RapidScale is seeking an experienced Citrix Cloud Engineer/Architect to design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions using Citrix technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in virtualization, cloud services, and infrastructure architecture, with a focus on delivering scalable and secure environments that meet business needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Design and implement Citrix-based cloud solutions, including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC, and Citrix Cloud.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define architecture solutions that align with business objectives.
· Evaluate and recommend cloud services and technologies that enhance performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.
· Develop and maintain architecture documentation, including design specifications and implementation plans.
· Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
· Implement security best practices and compliance standards within cloud environments.
· Provide technical leadership and guidance to development and operations teams.
· Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Citrix cloud environments.
· Stay current with industry trends and advancements in cloud technologies and Citrix solutions.
· Code or Script innovative methods to deliver our solution stack more quickly
· Work directly with the development team to connect automation built to our Portal UI
· Create and maintain working relationship with RapidScale and Cox project management teams
· Provide backup on-call support for after-hours emergencies and critical outages when primary on-call resource is unavailable
· Lead and operate within the context of an established strategic direction and vision
· Enforce and adhere to all company and team standards
Technical Skills:
· Citrix Product Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Citrix solutions like Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC, Citrix Workspace, and Citrix Cloud services.
· Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and services, including virtualization and containerization.
· Networking: Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including VPNs, firewalls, load balancers, and DNS.
· Security: Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements related to cloud and virtual environments.
· Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) for automation of deployments and management tasks.
