Job Description

As a Deputy Program Manager, you will be responsible for the operational success of our remote site, ensuring strategic and operational alignment with our overarching program goals. Reporting directly to the Program Manager based in the DC Metro Area, you will act as the primary point of contact for all site-related activities and staff, facilitating communication, coordination, and problem resolution.

What you will do:

  • Oversee daily operations at the remote site, ensuring that project goals, objectives, and milestones are met in accordance with organizational standards and timelines.
  • Collaborate closely with the Program Manager to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives that align with the company's mission and program objectives.
  • Manage and support site staff, providing leadership, guidance, and direction to ensure high performance, team cohesion, and professional development.
  • Coordinate with various departments, including HR, Finance, and IT, to ensure that site resources and infrastructure support project needs effectively.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of projects, identifying any issues or risks and implementing appropriate solutions to address them.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on project expectations and deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Must Haves:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with poly
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in program management leading USG programs, with a proven track record of successful site or team leadership.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, mentor, and guide team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in project management tools and software, with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage large-scale projects, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel to the remote site as required and adapt to flexible working hours to accommodate different time zones.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office 
  • Constantly work with computers and other information technology equipment
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas in a classroom style format, may stand at a podium for long periods of time
