- HYBRID – If you reside within 50 miles of Adtalem offices in Chicago, IL, Addison, IL, Columbia, MD, Minneapolis, MN, and Miramar, FL this role is hybrid, requiring office presence three days a week (Tue, Wed, Thu), with the rest of the workweek spent working from home.
Job Description
This position is responsible for the implementation, maintenance, performance tuning, and capacity management for all organizational softwares and systems as directed by management and senior staff. This position will provide software applications delivery support and mentoring for Associate Software Engineers.
- Designing and implementing software solutions that meet business requirements and technical specifications.
- Analyzes project needs/requirements and recommends solutions to enable enterprise integration.
- Develops and implements software solutions, standards, processes, and security.
- Collaborating with product managers, architects, Quality assurance and other stakeholders to gather and refine software requirements and developments.
- Maintaining and enhancing existing software applications through bug fixes and feature enhancements.
- Keeping up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve software development practices.
- Attends vendor training/conferences and presentations for continuing skills development.
- Trains and mentors team members and other Adtalem Global Education technical resources as necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related fields.
- Three (3) plus years of progressive relevant industry experience.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to break down complex problems into smaller components and propose effective solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and across different functional groups.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work. Ability to follow coding standards and best practices.
- Flexibility to work on different projects and adapt to changing priorities and timelines.
- Demonstrate ability to work independently and take initiative. Eagerness to learn new technologies and take on new challenges.
Additional Information
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $74064.94 and $130001.91. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
