About the role

JOB SUMMARY: Provides exceptional customer service and maintains a clean store environment at the Starbucks outlet in WFBMC. Handles cash transactions and ensures compliance with health department regulations.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or GED equivalent with four years' experience in food service.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION: Serv Safe certification required. Advanced Store Training certification required within 90 days.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Focuses on customer satisfaction and maintains sanitation standards.
  2. Monitors product quality and ensures adherence to guidelines.
  3. Prepares food, minimizes waste, and controls costs.
  4. Opens and closes the store, follows safety regulations, and completes documentation.
  5. Plans workday efficiently and adjusts food quantities as needed.
  6. Assumes Assistant Manager role when necessary and maintains a clean and orderly work area.
  7. Assists Department Manager with leadership responsibilities and budget management.
  8. Completes required training and adheres to hospital and departmental policies.
  9. Supports diversity and works well in a team environment.
  10. Participates in performance improvement initiatives.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Availability to work weekends and holidays.
  • Exposure to various areas of Food and Nutrition Services, including kitchens and retail areas.
  • Exposure to wet floors and sharp equipment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Standing, walking, bending, reaching, finger and hand dexterity, talking, hearing, seeing.
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to 100 lbs.
