Overview

As an IAM Team Lead, you will play a critical role and be hands-on in designing, implementing, and maintaining our identity and access management systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to assess business requirements, identify security risks, and develop effective IAM strategies. Your expertise in IAM technologies, such as Okta, will ensure our systems and data's integrity and confidentiality. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth of our IAM capabilities and shape the future of our identity management practices.

In this unique position, you will directly manage, support and mentor an individual contributor, empowering them to excel in their work and achieve the team's goals. 

This includes but is not limited to, moving existing On-Prem/SaaS applications to Okta, owning application assignments, and troubleshooting any Okta related issues.

This role will also have opportunities to collaborate on projects with the Information Security department.

This role will also involve interaction with business users, operations, and internal auditors teams and, therefore, requires the ability to communicate clearly and concisely. 

 

What will you do

  • Lead the identity management infrastructure's design, development, and implementation, focusing on Okta and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective IAM solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Govern and maintain the identity and access management systems to ensure proper authentication, authorization, and accountability across our organization.
  • Collaborate with other teams, such as IT Operations and Security, to ensure seamless integration of identity management solutions within the organization.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Okta and other IAM technologies, guiding stakeholders on implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Design, deploy, and support IAM workflows, including user onboarding/offboarding, registration, and provisioning/de-provisioning.
  • Subject matter expertise in developing best practices around standardized management of access controls.
  • Analyze, execute, and develop plans to migrate applications into our Okta platform. Plan and execute workflows to eliminate manual processes.
  • Mentor and support our the IT team on tickets that are above their technical expertise
  • Design, implement, and support identity platforms and systems for managing access to all systems across the organization leveraging Active Directory Services
  • Work with stakeholders to clarify business requirements, remove roadblocks, constantly communicate, and gain alignment around IAM Governance.
  • Understanding the business direction of companies and creating optimized I&AM architectures to meet business needs. 
  • Develop, participate and document standard operating procedures, best practices, and technical documentation.

 

Who you are

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related major discipline - Advantage
  • Preferred Certifications: Okta Certificated Administrator certification - Advantage
  • experience working in a people leadership role - Advantage
  • Significant experience in IT infrastructure solution, development, configuration, testing and implementation
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools to oversee IAM projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Hands-on experience developing and deploying enterprise Identity & Access Management solutions; including identity lifecycle management, access control, and Identity Governance.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate, mentor, and guide team members.
  • Experience in ensuring IAM processes and solutions comply with relevant regulations related to IAM, such as ISO 2700
