About the role

Overview

The Principal Program Lead will oversee budget and planning initiatives spanning Test & Rollouts and Restaurant Development, providing the opportunity to influence major departmental projects and processes. Operating in a dynamic and complex environment, the Principal Program Lead will be expected to establish key relationships and leverage significant partnerships, within the department and across the organization, to align on overall budget and planning strategies, ensuring a consistent approach. While a substantial portion of the role will focus on budget management and organizational planning efforts, the individual will be expected to share the narrative of their progress with Test & Rollouts leadership, while also effectively implementing and communicating key processes across the team. This role requires an individual with strong financial acumen and process creation and implementation experience.

Responsibilities

The Principal Program Lead will:

  • Serve as a member of the Test & Rollouts team, providing direction, vision and deliverables for strategic programs.
  • Manage the Test & Rollouts budget, which exceeds $300M annually and provides project support to numerous stakeholder groups across the organization, adding substantial complexity in budget management and planning processes.
  • Develop and implement financial processes and best practices for Test & Rollouts that align with departmental and organizational requirements.
  • Lead the forecasting, budgeting, and reporting efforts within Test & Rollouts and leverage this expertise across the team.
  • Influence financial processes and requests at the department and organizational levels, providing insight, perspective, and thought partnership.
  • Lead organizational planning efforts for Test & Rollouts, in partnership with Test & Rollouts leadership, providing messaging and guidance to T&R Project Leads throughout the effort, and ultimately determine resources and budget needed to support the various initiatives stewarded by Test & Rollouts.
  • Partner with leadership to develop financial strategy and process enhancement.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or other technical field of study
  • 8-10 years work experience
  • Knowledge of and experience with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Strong Project management skills and abilities
  • Ability to adapt to changing technologies and priorities
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Functional computer skills (Microsoft Office Applications, especially Excel and Word, and other applicable software).
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated for continuous improvement of personal skills and business systems
