Nightlife Novi Bartender- Part Time - Swing(Reno)

STARTING AT $10.50 plus TIPS

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Prepare and serve beverages to guests

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Includes, but is not limited to the following.)

1. Greet guests in a friendly and cheerful manner while taking their drink order.
2. Prepare drinks using proper recipe and glassware.
3. Serve drinks in a fast, friendly and efficient manner.
4. Keep the bar clean and organized.
5. Direct beverage attendants.
6. Correctly ring up drinks on the register and return correct change.
7. Answer guest questions about the property and events.
8. Monitor guest alcohol consumption levels and intoxication level.
9. Ensure responsible serving only to guests 21 and older (carding, don’t over-serve).

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Be current on all sporting events and keep televisions tuned accordingly.
2. Be current on all Eldorado and Reno events.

GUEST SERVICE STANDARDS:  Employee is required to meet the following Service Standards:

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:  Must have the ability to provide our guests with excellent customer service, have excellent communication skills and observation skills, and have an easygoing demeanor to ensure a fun and safe environment for our guests. Above average speech – both speaking and reading/writing English. Be able to move quickly up and down the bar. Must have basic math skills. Must be able to run cash register. Need excellent interpersonal skills. Must have excellent hand-to-eye coordination. Must possess above average memory. Must 21.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Experience:

Certificate/License: Must be able to obtain Alcohol Card.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Frequent crowds and accompanying noise levels. Frequent tobacco smoke. May work in limited space. May have to deal with intoxicated guests.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: (May be required in order to perform the essential functions of the position). A physically demanding job.  Constant walking, standing, twisting.
