Production Manufacturing Buyer - Atkins, VA

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of quality material and services.
• Evaluate our MRP system (Material Requirements Planning) to ensure orders are placed to meet product requirements.
• Responsible for placing orders in D365 and confirming orders with the vendor.
• Oversee your daily workflow and production delivery.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records.
• Responsible for tracking orders.
• Responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory levels of each product.
• Participate in weekly teams calls for training.
• Can perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience and Skills Requirement:

• Must have strong computer skills in Microsoft office.
• Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, prints and bills of materials.
• Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
• Self-motivated.
• Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to work independently or within a team to meet plant goals and must take responsibility for actions.
• Must work well with others in the office setting.
• Must be acceptable to rotating job duties.
• Must be able to negotiate and work well with our vendors.
• Detail oriented.
• Excellent attendance is required.

 Hours:

Monday through Thursday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm and Friday 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.

*Some overtime Saturdays are required.
