Senior Software Engineer - Media Audio

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Media Audio.  You will be a member of an experienced team that is responsible for collaborating with internal and external partners to solve challenging problems in the Audio domain. Your work will include building new OS features and driver frameworks to push forward the latest audio hardware technologies, debugging challenging problems to improve end-user reliability, and helping to shape the future of the entire Windows Audio platform. Good understanding of Audio/Media concepts and Windows device driver development experience are valuable.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement components within the Windows Audio system
• Implement features with high quality using automated functional, performance and stress testing  
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to build features that enable the latest audio hardware technologies  
• Work closely with external partners, end-users, and support teams to debug and drive issues to closure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python  
        o OR equivalent experience. 
• 4+ years of experince deep design, coding, debugging, and problem-solving skills  
• 2+ years of experince working with Audio concepts (audio software, middleware, drivers, or firmware)
• 2+ years of experience with Windows device driver development including WDF (Window Driver Frameworks)

• Cloud Background Check:Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. 
• Microsoft Cloud Background Check:This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
