About You
You are a unique combination of artistic talent and a passion for providing exceptional customer experiences. Your ability to work collaboratively, connect with people, and inspire others is natural. Comfortable in the spotlight, you entertain with ease, ensuring each guest receives excellent instruction, along with a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience. You also have at least two years of painting experience and are comfortable working with acrylics as your primary medium.


The Role
As a Senior Art Instructor at Muse Paintbar, you are a secondary leader in the studio, setting the example for your team by seamlessly combining the expertise of an experienced art instructor with exceptional customer service skills. You demonstrate high quality instruction and customer service techniques, helping to guide and develop the skills of your fellow Art Instructors through hands-on collaboration and sharing of best practices. Additionally, you will occasionally be involved in operational tasks such as supporting weekly inventory and shipment processing. Representing Muse Paintbar at offsite events is also part of your role, and you may be called upon to provide support at other studios within our footprint.

Key Responsibilities



Artistic Excellence: Prepare Muse Paintbar's signature paintings according to our guidelines, setting up the approved master painting above the stage before each session begins.


Session Preparation: Utilize provided templates to break down paintings, ensuring your instruction during sessions is straightforward and effective.


Engaging Teaching: Lead the painting sessions with step-by-step guidance, engaging customers throughout and managing the session time efficiently.


Session Organization: Prepare for upcoming sessions by printing the attendee lists, assigning group seating, and organizing paint palettes to ensure a smooth and organized experience.


Welcoming Host: Greet customers as they arrive, guide them to their seats, and provide aprons.


Food and Beverage Ambassador: Direct customers to the food and beverage options available via the QR menu. Attend to food and beverage needs at the bar and tableside as needed, ensuring guests have a seamless and enjoyable dining experience.


Customer Interaction: Engage with guests throughout the session, providing support and encouragement, as well as assisting with additional food and beverage orders.


Photo and Social Media Engagement: Take photos during the session for social media, enhancing the overall experience and promoting guest interaction.


Session Cleanup and Maintenance: Assist in the breakdown and cleanup process post-session, ensuring the studio is well-prepared for future events.


Setting Standards: Serve as an example when new hires shadow you, sharing your knowledge and skills to enhance team performance.


Operational Support: Assist with weekly inventory assessment and shipment responsibilities, ensuring studio operations run smoothly.


Event Participation: Actively participate in and sometimes lead offsite events, showcasing Muse Paintbar's offerings and engaging with a broader audience.


Studio Support: Provide support to neighboring studios as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a collaborative spirit.




Shift Requirements



Full-time availability, averaging 30-35 hours per week.


Ability to work varied hours, including days, evenings, and weekends.




Required Skills and Abilities



Vibrant personality with a flair for creating an engaging atmosphere.


Artistic proficiency, particularly in acrylics, and skill in teaching painting.


Strong communication skills, punctuality, and a focus on customer service excellence.


Understanding of Muse Paintbar's market, products, and services.


Tech-savvy, with proficiency in necessary technology for session operation.


Reliable transportation and willingness to travel up to 20% each week.


Flexible availability, including weekends.



 

Experience and Education



Must be 21 years or older.


Minimum of 2 years of hands-on painting experience, acrylic painting preferred.


Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant art field preferre
