We’re looking for an Operations Business Analyst. This role serves as a key technical and business process resource for the operations business area leadership team, and acts as a liaison between Operations and IT. In consultation with operational business owners and subject matter experts, this role documents business requirements, develops test plans/scripts, performs user acceptance testing, and coordinates on the development of training. The role supports establishing processes and workflows to support high quality, efficient, effective operations. This position regularly conducts data analysis and recommends improvements to business processes and implements the same, as appropriate. You will:· Support small to large, informal department and enterprise funded projects that have operational impact· Translate and present project scope, outcomes (deliverables), and updates to Operational leaders and their teams· Capture business requirements in traditional Waterfall BRD and/or Agile User Story formats and deliver them to development teams· Create current and future state process flows to inform requirements gathering and gap analysis· Perform root cause analysis and recommend options to resolve issues and defects· Plan and execute and/or lead comprehensive user acceptance and regression testing· Ensure effective hand off of new and changed functionality to impacted production teams; including documentation and training on procedures· Successfully request and display data that accurately illustrates operational metrics/trends You bring:· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience· 3+ years of experience in business/process analysis in health insurance· Operational knowledge of claims administration, membership, providers, benefits, premium billing, medical terms, pricing logic, etc.· History of participating in complex processes and multi-layered projects· Demonstrated ability to analyze/translate data; intermediate to advanced skill level in Excel· Experience designing and implementing operational software; knowledgeable about SDLC· Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions· Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skill· Strong general business acumen· Excellent communication skills· Demonstrated success getting results through collaboration Extra credit:· Previous start up company experience· Javelina claims system experience· Business Analyst and/or Product Owner certification· Project Management and/or Scrum Master Certification· Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification Competitive pay is standard.
