JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SUMMARY

The Warehouse Associate III is a key role within the distribution center, responsible for ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of materials and products. This position involves performing more advanced warehouse functions including but not limited to clerk and picking using reach trucks/cherry picker or dock stockers, while maintaining a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and operational efficiency. The Warehouse Associate 3 is expected to demonstrate leadership, mentor junior associates, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

o    Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, procedures, and company guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.  Contribute to and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and participate in ongoing safety training sessions.  Serve as a role model and keep the workspace clean and organized to prevent hazards.  Proactively identify and report unsafe practices, incidents, or equipment malfunctions promptly.

o    Product Handling & Organization: Demonstrated proficiency in the operation of a wide variety of warehouse equipment including dock stockers and reach truck/cherry pickers to support pick-pack ship operations in a warehouse.  Perform area clerk duties, including preparing reports, maintaining documentation, and coordinating with other departments as needed.  Provide feedback and recommendations for process improvements based on operational knowledge.

o    Quality Control & Accuracy:  Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or quality issues in products received or shipped.

o    Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Operate warehouse equipment such as a dock stocker and reach truck/cherry picker safely and efficiently.  Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure operational safety and compliance.  Perform basic maintenance checks on equipment, such as battery levels or safety features, and report issues to the supervisor.

o    Adaptability & Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and resolve routine warehouse challenges in a timely and effective manner. Identify ideas to enhance warehouse processes and efficiency.  Participate in cross functional activities and projects as needed. 

o    Leadership and Teamwork:  May be expected to train and mentor team members on advanced equipment operation, safety protocols, and product knowledge.
