Job title: Science & Technology Outreach Coordinator

Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha and Wolfram Language, is seeking a Science & Technology Outreach Coordinator to join its Outreach and Communications department. This department is responsible for corporate public outreach efforts, from public forum engagement to social media posts and from media pitches to press releases.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with technical and operational teams to create and repurpose compelling content for various social media and outreach initiatives
• Researching, writing, editing and reviewing existing content for traditional (media outreach, press releases, etc.) and digital (websites, ads, social media, etc.) communications
• Collaborating with a diverse group of outreach and communications professionals in their efforts to effectively engage a technologically sophisticated audience
• Coordinating campaign components across teams and platforms
• Consulting with business leaders to identify and prioritize outreach-related business objectives

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A strong understanding of social media
• An interest in and understanding of science communications
• Ability to prioritize tasks and take initiative
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to effectively work remotely with a geo-distributed team

Preferred qualifications

• Experience and interest in STEM or STEM-related fields
• Familiarity with Jira, Asana, Sprout Social, Canva and Wolfram Language

Location: Fully remote and seeking candidates from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico and Peru
Job type: Full time (40 hours per week)/Independent Contractor
