The automotive markets Holman serves include fleet management and leasing; vehicle fabrication and upfitting; component manufacturing and productivity solutions; powertrain distribution and logistics services; commercial and personal insurance and risk management; and retail automotive sales as one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States.

Holman is currently accepting applications for the position of Director- Private Equity.  Full Time Leadership role within Holman’s Growth Venture’s Business Division.

Primary Tasks:

  • Build and lead Holman’s private equity practice
  • Lay the groundwork to help fundraise Fund I
  • Create and lead deal investment process:  manage the process from pitch to due diligence to IC memo to close
  • Lead deal flow generation:  further develop Holman’s relationship with PE partners, investment banks (IB) and from network
  • Present investment recommendations to Holman Board of Directors
  • Work with portfolio companies and the Holman core to facilitate partnership conversations, where applicable
  • Advise and help portfolio companies with business development and other misc needs
  • Represent HGV at conferences and participate on panels
  • Frequently network among peers within and outside of Holman to stay abreast of current market developments
  • Recruit and develop Analysts and/or Associates
  • Develop annual strategy, goals and execution plan with HGV’s Managing Director
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned

Relevant Work Experience:

  • 8+ years of combined Investment Banking, consulting, VC and PE experience; 3+ years’ experience managing a team
  • Extensive knowledge and experience within own function and general knowledge of areas, departments and/or function(s) within and across other disciplines
  • Financial modeling, due diligence, memo writing, PowerPoint, presenting, developing a network

Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field required, MBA preferred
  • Proficient in various desktop tools including MS Office Programs (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint etc.)
