About the Role

The primary function of this position is responsible for providing estimated pricing for client requested quotes based on the Study Design Documents as provided by the Preclinical Business Development team and the Client Managers. Communication, via email, phone or Teams with Preclinical Business Development and Client Management is required to establish accurate Study Design documents to meet the clients preclinical study needs. Communication with the Bio Analytical and Scientific Services teams for internal quotations, procedure methods and labor to determine cost. Communication with any external labs that will provide quotes for outsourced work.

What You'll Do Here

• Use the pricing tool to create estimates and communicate study pricing information to account managers on the Study Design Document.

• Complete required entries in the individual opportunities in Sales force for tracking.

• Collaborate with Business Development and Client Management to ensure cost estimates are presented accurately and on time to the clients.

• Interact with consultants and sub-contractors to determine fee for services and ensure they are accurately represented in the quote and presented to clients.

• Obtain annual pricing updates for subcontracted labs and material/drug providers.

• Ensure all study procedures in the Study Design Document (SDD) are captured and accurately described and accounted for.

• Interact with scientific staff to properly obtain all information associated with specific procedures and determine labor and materials required to complete these procedures.

• Maintain an accurate filing system of study and cost estimate related material.

• Be proactive in upgrading cost estimating procedures and programs as needed.

• Participate in Peer Reviews of the other team members opportunity quotes.

• Compare estimates with final Protocols, Amendments/Amended Protocols and final reports for costing purposes. Prepare quotes with charges or credits and complete the CE documents for review by the Business Development team.

• Assist in training new employees.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a scientific field preferred but not required.

• 2-4 years of experience in estimating and/or scientific research required. Experience with review and interpretation of scientific documents.

• MS Office Suite as well as a strong working knowledge of excel with the ability to create formulas, and macros necessary for maintaining and improving the versatility and accuracy of the pricing tool.

• Maintain and update the pricing tool.

• Provide annual reports with comparison metrics from previous versions.

• The ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables; the ability to interpret multiple instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form; and demonstrate attention to detail.

• Must be self-motivated and must be able to multi-task.

• Ability to take initiative, self-motivated, work independently and follow through to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

What We Offer
The salary range estimated for this position is $64,000 - $90,000. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, prior relevant experience, skills, education, certification, location as well as internal equity and market data.
