Maintenance Machinist - Entry Level (Semi-Skilled)

Overview

The candidate will be required to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and repair EB cranes and other lifting and handling equipment. 

 

The position will possess a working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical gearing, brakes, couplings, clutches, bearings, seals, and hoists.  The candidate will work to technical manual and technical document requirements and work directly with engineering.

 

Must be familiar with torque wrenches, feeler gauges, micrometers, dial calipers and other hand tools.  Candidate must be available for overtime.  Must be able to work at heights up to 150 feet, all types of weather and temperature.  Must obtain or have a J worker qualification.  Must be able to work on their own.   

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED or 2 years of related experience
• 1 - 5 years of mechanical experience

Preferred:

• 3 - 5 years of mechanical experience

Skills

• Use of hand tools and power tools
• Able to read mechanical drawings and follow technical direction
• Climb ladders
• Read mechanical drawings
