Vice President, Underwriting - Financial Lines

Unique opportunity to be a key part of building a profitable Financial Institution insurance book of business within a dynamic, international company. ANV Global Services (www.anv.eu.com) is a global MGA underwriting specialty risks from its offices in the Europe and the United States of America. ANV Is part of the AmTrust Group of companies (www.amtrustgroup.com).

We are currently looking for a Financial Institution Vice President to join the team in Morristown, New Jersey or remote.

 

Main scope of role:

Underwrite, market and manage new and renewal Financial Institution Liability business, building a team of underwriters to expand a profitable book of business.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and manage a Financial Institution portfolio in accordance with ANV’s business strategy; create strategic and operating initiatives to drive results.
• Direct accountability for driving underwriting performance, underwriting quality and integrity, appetite guidance and overall underwriting excellence for all Financial Institution products. Develop the Financial Institution Business Plan and strategy and Underwriting Guidelines.
• Develop and maintain strong wholesale broker relationships to ensure positive and profitable outcomes.
• Coach, lead and develop underwriters in accordance with strategic direction.
• Cross-sell other Financial Lines insurance products.
• Maintain a high level of customer service.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of underwriting or broking experience with some or all FI related.
• Existing producer licenses in P&C and Surplus Lines a plus.
• Experience in Surplus Lines/non-admitted market a plus.
• Bachelors Degree.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite of products.
• Strong analytical, organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be a team player who enjoys a fast paced business and entrepreneurial environment.
