Overview
The Financial Aid Coordinator provides administrative support for Financial Aid at Universal Technical Institute, where we are driven to make a difference. This role is focused on producing high-quality, detailed work based on established standards, guidelines, and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have a high level of patience and a willingness to handle and complete one task at a time in order to create precise and consistent work output.

Responsibilities
- Monitor student traffic for the Financial Aid Department.
- Notify staff when students arrive for appointments
- Answer busy multi-line phone system in a professional manner.
- Send out all mailings for the Financial Aid Department and date stamp and disseminate large volume of mail to appropriate staff.
- Check in new enrollments and create files for them.
- Enter Data from FAFSAs and other information when presented.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education / Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- One year of customer service experience.
- Previous multi-line telephone experience is a plus.
Skills
- Must have excellent organizational skills and be very detail-oriented.
- Strong communication skills verbal and written.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc)
Abilities
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 5 pounds or less 5% of the workday
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl 5% or less of the workday
- Must be able to talk, see, hear, concentrate, think, learn and reason for all of the workday
- Must be able to sit and walk or otherwise move around for prolonged periods throughout the workday.
- Must be able to use a keyboard and do manual tasks for prolonged periods throughout the workday.
Work Environment
- Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment.
- This position is designated as Onsite.
