BWXT is currently seeking a Commercialization Analyst for its Advanced Technologies location in Lynchburg, VA!

 

BWXT is People Strong, Innovation Driven - be part of BWXT’s innovation hub. BWXT’s Advanced Technologies (AT) group researches, designs, and develops innovative new nuclear reactors, nuclear rocket propulsion systems, and radioisotope production systems for both internal and external customers.

 

BWXT AT is seeking a dedicated Commercialization Analyst to join our growing company and business. This position’s duties will include, but not be limited to, building detailed market assessments, supporting financial modeling and sensitivity analyses, interfacing with potential customers, and communicating with senior leaders and external stakeholders.

Job Description / Duties:

  • Develop a series of market assessments across a variety of industries.
  • Support strategic engagements with prospective partners and stakeholders.
  • Support management team in diligence and selection of prospective partners.
  • Interface with upper management to develop criteria and regularly present findings to the team.
  • Perform detailed analyses of prospective projects.
  • Create and present simplified results from the analyses.
  • Work with program commercialization leaders to support business strategy and decision-making efforts.

 

Job Qualifications / Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required. Preference given to candidates with MBAs.
  • Must have a minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience, preferably in product/program management or consulting.
  • Experience leading detailed analytical projects is required.
  • Must have a keen eye for detail and an ability to think creatively.
  • Must have excellent time management skills, including the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Relevant experience in the energy sector, or comparable sectors, is highly preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • If required, must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) or Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance.

 

 

The base salary range for this position in Virginia (US-VA) at the start of employment is expected to be between $62,000 and $109,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment.
