What are we looking for?
We are looking for highly motivated Supervising Shotfirer to join our safety and result-driven team. The position is full-time, working a Monday to Friday roster. We offer an attractive remuneration package including performance-based bonuses. Relocation assistance may be available for eligible candidates.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Supervising the Shotfiring team.
Ensuring safe and efficient blasting practices at Mangoola Open Cut.
Loading and firing of blast holes.
Monitoring compliance with site procedures, environmental and government regulations.
Promoting and maintaining a high level of positive safety performance & workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment, and application of the Mangoola Coal values.
Promoting positive relationships with our stakeholders & community; and
Taking all reasonable steps to minimise impact on the environment.
About you:
You will hold a NSW Shotfirer’s Licence.
You will hold a NSW Open Cut Examiners Practising Certificate (Desirable).
You will have previous shotfiring experience in an open cut coal mine.
You will have a proactive attitude to safety.
You will have a strong work ethic and possess leadership capabilities.
You can demonstrate flexibility and excellent teamwork in working with others in the business, including the Drill and Blast team.
You can exhibit strong communication skills, with a strong drive to learn and grow in the role.
