This position is responsible for the fiscal management and support for all the OSTA Plant manufacturing operations including, but not limited to Financial, processes, and controls pertaining to: Cost Accounting – month end close and annual processes, Plant FP&A (Budgets, Forecasts and Variance Analysis), Inventory & Reserves Accounting.

This individual will be the business partner to Plant Operations management team providing financial analysis support to drive productivity, enhance inventory management, increase cost savings, and achieve defined objectives.

Job Duties

  • Perform monthly close activities such as review of general ledger activity, journal creation and entry, account analyses and reconciliation, department expense analysis, and other assigned duties.
  • Lead Monthly analysis of Earned Hours/ Production Volume, Variances in Labor, Work orders and manufacturing.
  • Compile / Consolidate Inventory Reporting and variance analysis to be published to Senior management.
  • Support Project Management teams in creating budgets related to special projects and provide variance analysis on monthly basis.
  • Participate in annual budget, quarterly forecasts and provide variance analysis with key business drivers.
  • Drive Monthly cost center reviews with the objective of driving financial performance and incorporating feedback into Quarterly forecasts.
  • Participate in the annual Standard cost setting process for the plants.
  • Responsible for maintaining compliance with JSOX / Intern Audit Controls across all Manufacturing Plants.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.).
  • Minimum of 5+ years related experience in Cost Accounting preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of Cost Accounting Principles (Non – Negotiable), Accounting standards, FP&A.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing and developing people.
  • Travel (~15%) and visit all manufacturing sites at least once a year.

 

Preferred:

 

  • Knowledge and experience with MRP/ERP (Oracle preferred), Hyperion desirable.
  • Excellent computer skills including ability to create spreadsheets and provide analysis and other reports utilizing Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI.
  • Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with a minimal supervision.
  • Certified Public Accountant desirable.
