Job Description
CNBC is looking for an Associate Producer for Squawk on the Street. In this role, you will be an integral part of covering the most significant financial, corporate & political news stories of the day.
Responsibilities:
- Working with team of producers to produce CNBC Business News program
- Assisting with the creation and coordination of elements for daily business program
- Operating in a high-intensity, fast-paced control room
- Using equipment to play out all on-air real-time financial charts
- Writing copy and lower-thirds for daily segments
- Being resourceful and creative in helping to deliver the program’s message, including use of clips and graphics
- Researching segment ideas and segment information as directed
- Putting together research packets for anchors
- Assisting in the booking of guests
- Assisting producers with story production and pre-interviews
- Booking remote feeds for guests and reporters
- Assisting with show social media pages, when needed
Qualifications
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism or business; or an equivalent degree
- At least 2 years of television production experience
- Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news. Must be able to work early morning shift (7am start) and additional hours beyond scheduled shift
Desired Characteristics:
- Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments, while working with multiple producers and editors on the broadcast and digital teams
- Knowledge of current events, politics and pop culture
- Exemplary interpersonal skills
- Proactive thinker / self-starter
- Highly organized and detail-oriented

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Salary range: $65,000-$80,000
