About You
We’re looking for a HR data analyst to work in a fast-paced HR Services division to support compensation consulting and salary surveys for Texas public schools. This is a Texas-based remote position. Successful candidate must reside in Texas
A Typical Day
- Provide data analysis support to consultants on assigned projects, participate in review of reported salary survey data for reliability, and communicates with districts about data clarifications and updates.
- Completes independent compensation projects, including conducting market comparisons, developing salary and pay plan recommendations, and providing written reports of findings and recommendations.
- Works with a team of other analysts.
- Collects, analyzes, and interprets client salary data. Uses data analysis techniques to analyze, summarize, display, and explain data.

How You'll Make an Impact
- Support consultants in creation of reports of findings and recommendations to clients. Reviews work of consultants and peers for accuracy, completeness, and clarity.
- Participate in review of all reported survey data for accuracy, completeness, and reliability according to data guidelines provided.
- Communicate directly with survey participants and members regarding participation, survey access issues, survey reports, and any other concerns.
- Benchmark jobs against survey data to analyze market competitiveness and determine appropriate pay rages. Calculates pay plan and employee pay adjustments that take into consideration cost limitations, internal equity, and market competitiveness.
Skills for Success
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in statistics, economics, business, social sciences, or related field.
- One to three (1-30 years' of experience using spreadsheets and analyzing data.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Advanced knowledge and skills using Excel.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to be thorough, accurate, and precise in analyzing and reviewing data.
- Must be able to multi-task and stay organized between multiple projects at one time.
- Strong communication skills through internal and external emails and phone calls.
- Programming skills are not required but an understanding of excel VBA is helpful.
Work Environment
- This position is fully remote, but candidates must be located in Texas.
- This position operates in a professional and home office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers and phones.
