Job Summary

We are hiring a Sr Software Engineer with strong technology background and experience working in enterprise environment. You will work with technology and business leads to build or enhance critical data and reporting systems that MUFG Americas replies on for critical risk and regulatory reporting requirements among other such functions. Successful candidate will demonstrate experience working on regulatory Reporting and have a passion for designing and building elegant solutions and for continuous self-improvement. They will possess in-depth knowledge of current and emerging technologies. The ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally, is essential.

Major Responsibilities

  • Manage data analysis and data integration of disparate systems creating data lineage across complex current system requirements and target state architecture
  • Build extensible data acquisition and integration solutions to meet the functional and non-functional requirements of the business
  • Implement processes and logic to extract, transform, and distribute data across one or more data stores from a wide variety of sources
  • Work with large volumes of structured and unstructured data from various sources into AWS data lakes or data warehouses.
  • Optimize data integration platform to provide optimal performance under increasing data volumes.
  • Develop and document the data audit, archiving, and restoration processes
  • Develop quality standards to ensure data quality and integrity across various database systems
  • Provide problem-solving expertise and complex analysis of data to develop business intelligence integration designs
  • Develop data integration standards according to the organization’s information services policies as well as best practices
  • Conduct review of other integration developers’ development efforts to ensure consistent methodologies are followed and to make recommendations where necessary
  • Work with business users to translate functional specifications into technical designs for implementation and deployment
  • Providing technical support, data analysis (Oracle, SQL), bug analysis, resolution, and patch testing using Axiom SL Platform

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Systems or related field
  •  7 + years of technical experience performing design, development, testing and implementation of IT applications
  • 3+ years of experience using Transforming the Bank’s Regulatory Reporting function by implementing the AxiomSL Platform;
  • Creating/updating functional/detailed design specifications and building development artifacts using Axiom SL Platform;
  • Providing technical support, data analysis (Oracle, SQL), bug analysis, resolution, and patch testing using Axiom SL Platform;
  • Familiarity with data governance, data security, and compliance practices in cloud environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize and fine-tune data pipelines and Spark jobs for performance.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • AWS certifications are a plus.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $145K - $182K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
