Job Summary

The Project Manager II is responsible for leading cross‑functional projects that deliver technology solutions and services for customers in the IT reseller channel. The role manages scope, schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholder expectations while coordinating closely with sales, engineering, operations, vendors, and customers. This is a mid‑level role for an experienced project manager who can work independently on small to mid‑sized, moderately complex projects.

Role Description

  • Lead end‑to‑end planning, execution, and delivery of IT infrastructure, cloud, and services projects for commercial and enterprise customers.

  • Develop and maintain project plans, including scope, schedule, milestones, resource plans, dependencies, and risk/issue logs.

  • Facilitate regular project meetings, document decisions and action items, and ensure follow‑through from all stakeholders.

  • Coordinate with sales, solutions architects, engineering, operations, and vendor partners to confirm requirements, delivery timelines, and handoffs.

  • Track project financials, including estimates, purchase orders, invoices, and margin impacts; escalate variances and recommend corrective actions.

  • Communicate project status clearly and accessibly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders at all levels.

  • Identify and manage risks and issues, propose mitigation plans, and drive timely resolution.

  • Ensure projects follow established PMO standards, governance, and documentation practices.

  • Support continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and recommending enhancements to delivery processes and tools.

Behaviors and Competencies

  • Inclusive collaboration: Actively seeks input from diverse perspectives and ensures all participants are heard in meetings and decision‑making.  Builds trusting relationships across functions, geographies, and backgrounds to move work forward effectively.

  • Customer focus:  Centers project decisions on customer outcomes, balancing technical feasibility, cost, and long‑term value. Listens carefully to customer needs and adapts communication style to different audiences.

  • Accountability and ownership: Takes responsibility for project outcomes, including clear communication about risks, issues, and trade‑offs.  Follows through on commitments and creates transparency around progress and challenges.

  • Adaptive problem solving:  Approaches obstacles with curiosity, exploring multiple options rather than defaulting to a single solution.  Adjusts plans thoughtfully in response to new information, feedback, or changing priorities.

  • Structured communication: Communicates complex information in a clear, concise, and respectful manner, tailoring detail to the audience.  Facilitates productive discussions that clarify expectations, next steps, and decision owners.

  • Continuous improvement mindset: Reflects on project outcomes and processes to identify what can be done better next time.  Shares lessons learned, tools, and practices that can help the broader team improve delivery quality and efficiency.

Skill Level Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience managing technology or IT services projects, preferably in a reseller, MSP, VAR, or systems integrator environment.

  • Proven ability to own small to mid‑sized projects independently, from initiation through closeout.

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., waterfall, hybrid; familiarity with agile concepts is beneficial).  <
