As an AI Software Engineering Undergraduate Intern at Intel, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of artificial intelligence. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing and developing advanced AI algorithms, frameworks, and software architectures.
- Implement and optimize machine learning and deep learning models to meet performance and accuracy benchmarks.
- Contribute to research and experimentation in AI, including physical AI and robotics applications.
- Collaborate with internal product teams, external partners, and cross-functional teams to develop AI solutions.
- Support system-level deployment of AI solutions to ensure scalable, efficient, and robust performance.
- Develop code using programming languages such as Python and contribute to robotic simulations and VLA (Vision-Language-Action) model training and fine-tuning.
- Participate in data collection and preprocessing to enhance datasets for training and validation.
- Gain exposure to Intel's innovative culture and future-focused technology initiatives.

Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications, you must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ months of experience in the following:
- Foundational knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning engineering principles.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
- Experience with data collection, data preprocessing, and data analysis.
- Hands-on experience or coursework in robotics, robotics simulation, or physical AI
- Knowledge of creating and fine-tuning vision-language-action (VLA) models.
Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
- Familiarity with AI frameworks and tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
- Understanding of computer vision, convolutional neural networks, or natural language processing concepts.
- Interest in exploring innovative AI applications and real-world integration.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
