Job Summary:

The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is looking for an ambitious professional ready to jump-start a rewarding career! The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing administrative and general office duties, time keeper/payroll and maintaining accurate documentation as directed by a supervisor or administrator. Job Duties:

- Conducts initial reviews of warrants for prioritization and service accuracy.
- Coordinates, prepares, and organizes warrant delivery list for the Board of Executive Clemency (BOEC).
- Prepares files for review
- Functions as a liaison coordinating efforts between the BOEC and ADCRR.
- Accurately maintain Warrant and Hearings Unit files and monitor the Arizona Correctional Information System (ACIS) Warrant Database for service deadline discrepancies.
- Tracks status of violators in Non-ADCRR custody and their return to facilities operated for ADCRR to ensure timely scheduling of hearings.
- Coordinates the collection and distribution of pending status of charges for offenders with upcoming BOEC and Administrative hearings.
- Receives phone calls from the public, attorneys, inmates/family members and other jurisdictions and provide information or direction appropriate to the request.
- Generates reports, answers correspondence, conducts database audits to verify warrant tracking and accuracy of Information to ensure due process.
- Collects and records statistical information. Special projects as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned as related to the position

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

Knowledge of:
- Arizona Revised Statute and federal laws
- Administrative management practices
- General office practices and procedures
- Business English, spelling, and grammar
- Filing systems
- Proper telephone etiquette
- Personal computers
- Dealing with staff, inmates, and public
- Word processing and spreadsheet software
- ADCRR policies and procedures

Skill in:
- Interpretation, analysis and applications of ADCRR policies and procedures impacting release eligibility as it relates to BOEC revocation hearings;
- Verbal and written communication

- Data entry
- Preparing and formatting difficult and complex reports
- Writing correspondence
- Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships

Selective Preference(s):

- Two (2) years of experience involving the inmate release process, time computation, and Interpreting court documents and legal terminology.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation, drug test.
